  • Day 3 is starting off . . . ugly.

    Day 3 is starting off . . . ugly.

It was another doozy of a day for the Ugly Mug contest. Fearless photographers approach strangers for their ugliest mug. It’s amazing what people are willing to deliver.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            *********

  • National Geographic’s Infinite Photo

Posted in Blog, Stuff we like - 27 April 2009 - No comment
  • National Geographic introduced amazing nature and outdoor photography to many of us. As a kid on the living room floor, I learned about places I’d never imagined and saw pictures that dropped my jaw. And from my adult perspective,  National Geographic is still covering stories and publishing photos that blow my mind.

Appropriately, this institution brings the world the Infinite Photo. Compiled of reader-submitted photos, this complex photo mosiac zooms in, again and again . . . . and again, uh . . . infinitely. It showcases the highest quality photos of the natural world, and some pretty amazing software.

Enjoy exploring the world at the Infinite Photo and submit your own images.
